Seeds Taking Root: Growing in Hope!
About 10 years ago, Fr. Simon Peter Kyambadde had a dream of building a school near his home, in the remote village of Mawuuki, Uganda.
Sally & Joe Bredemann, were inspired by his ideas, and provided the seed capital to start the project.
As the idea took root, more donors from St Joan of Arc Parish in Evanston and elsewhere found ways to support the project. Today, St. Joan of Arc Uganda serves approximately 600 day and boarding students and is recognized as one of the best in the country. Impoverished students are gaining the opportunity to develop their talents, changing their lives and the lives of their families.
Arc of Hope raises funds to provide ongoing support for the school, and we need YOUR help most urgently this year. The coronavirus pandemic has led to massive shutdowns in Uganda and the school is struggling to cover the costs of retaining its talented staff and maintaining its facilities in the face of this challenge.
Your donation can make a life-changing impact on students in Uganda.
Our biannual Arc of Hope Dinner, which typically raises funds to supplement tuition and help the school succeed, had to be cancelled because of the virus. But we still need your help!
