On August 19,2023 St. Joan of Arc Uganda hosted a race parallel to the Arc of Hope Evanston race in order to “be part of you”. 

The race included 5 laps for males, 3 laps for females, 100m short and long relays, a walking race where everyone at the field had to participate, a sack race and then a match between students and staff.

Blue house won the day’s events followed by Green, Red and Yellow. The photos show the blue house jubilating after winning!

The Ugandan students are assigned to a particular house at admission. The houses function as community groups within SJA Uganda for service projects and athletic and cultural arts competitions. They are named for saints who honor and protect children: St. Kizito (blue), St. Michael the Archangel (green), St. Mary (yellow), and St. Maria Gorretti (red).
