Evanston Rotary Grant Helps Alleviate Drought Related Water Rationing! March 2017
A generous grant from the Rotary Club of Evanston funded a much needed 10,000 liter water tank installed next to the girls’ dormitories. During the severe drought, the girls have had to walk long distances to obtain water for washing and bathing. The proximity of the new tank saves time which they can now spend on more productive class work.
In addition, 300 mosquito nets were distributed to boarding students and resident staff members. 100 new blankets were given to boarding boys and girls that had old or tattered blankets on their beds. Thank you Rotary Club of Evanston!
